Expressions have five large studios
About the School
Expressions School of Performing Arts was established in 1989 originally as Discoworld School of Dance. With the opening of the Academy of Performing Arts and Casting Agency the school decided to have a name change to bring the three businesses under one banner. The school then branched out to offer acting, singing and Musical Theatre alongside the existing dance classes to cater for the ever changing society.
The School’s patron is actress, singer and TV star Samantha Womack. Sam is well known for playing Ronnie Mitchell in Eastenders. Our philosophy is to provide first class training in the Performing Arts in a supportive and state-of-the-art environment. Our experts provide unparalleled attention through small groups and individual tuition, producing well- rounded, confident performers. This is further reinforced by our sister casting agency that offers short-term work contracts that give our pupils invaluable experience should they wish.
The school has an informal and friendly ethos that is designed to get the very best out of our pupils. Staff are supportive and friendly ensuring that your time at the school will be both enjoyable and rewarding.
Facilitating Success The School boasts five large studios set in a spacious and contemporary building. The facility is easy to navigate with the studios from all disciplines housed under one roof. The school offers a fully secure door locking and intercom system which ensures the paramount safety of your children at all times. We also have fully operational CCTV for your safety.
Studios feature Canadian maple-sprung floors, mirrors and full sound systems, as well as being fully air-conditioned and heated. All together, the studio space equates to a massive 13,500 square feet, meaning there’s plenty of room to Express yourself!
Location The school can be found just outside the centre of Mansfield, approximately five minutes walk from the amenities of the town. The school is by easy reach by train or bus and both stations are a five minute walk away. The train has a regular service to Nottingham which acts as a hub to many more destinations. Alternatively the school has its own private car park with CCTV for safety.
